This lifestyle intervention is just what the Doctor ordered!
By Dr. Cora Stover, ND
Today is the day you take your health back into your control! We’ll help you clean up your act so you can get back into your groove so everyone can ponder what you do to have it all.
I’ll share the cleanse basics, what to expect, and what’s in it for you.
Those who suffer from the mysterious and often annoying changes of menopause/perimenopause, sleep disturbance, mood swings, and weight issues may benefit from this simple lifestyle intervention.
First, let’s talk about cleanse basics. There are fundamental principles to maximize the benefits, regardless of how long a cleanse lasts.
During a cleanse, it is vitally important not to: drink alcohol, have added sugars (you may include sugars that come from fruit), or have coffee.
This means: no sugar packets, no honey, no agave, etc. Now, you can choose not to follow these basic rules.
This is your cleanse, after all.
If you choose to follow them, when you come to the end of your cleanse, especially, if you have years of toxin build-up, you will be thankful for following these cleanse guidelines.
The first few days may be slightly uncomfortable due to your lifestyle change, but hang in there. Cleanses are what breaks the cycle of unhealthy habits!
When you get a headache or crave sugar, this is not your body saying you need it; it says you have an addiction, an imbalance, or an unmet need. The craving is not the need; instead, an essential nutrient to metabolism is missing.
When applying a cleanse to peri-and-menopause, it is not just some minor change that is occurring. Hormones are essential for every single cell in your body.
Hormones have a profound effect that can help you feel happier, healthier, increase your metabolism, and so much more, or they can create the complete opposite in your body.
There are three “major” players when it comes to hormones.
These organs are your thyroid, ovaries, and our adrenals that produce our fight, flight or freeze hormones. When they are in balance, it feels good to be in your body; it is uncomfortable when they are out of balance.
Let’s take a look into why choosing the 7-day-cleanse is my preferred method to balance your hormones, and what’s in it for you!
Each product from the SMART Pressed Juice cleanse contains excellent ingredients that help support the body, enhance the body, push toxins out of the body, and protect the body.
The liver metabolizes hormones. When hormones break down, it takes work to neutralize and bind the hormone for removal (typically, the intestines remove hormones via fecal matter). Anything that helps make feces is going to be a benefit. In the cleanse, the Pineapple Chia Cleanse increases bulk (aids in removing toxic build-up by gently scraping the walls and applying pressure to improve tone and peristalsis - the action needed to move feces to the endpoint).
Included in this cleanse are antioxidants and liver-protecting foods, such as globe artichoke, beets, broccoli, lemon, carrots, chlorella and spirulina, sacha inchi, and dandelion.
Support sex hormones with parsley, flax, pumpkin, cabbage, broccoli, alfalfa, maca, and oat. Again, Pineapple Chia Cleanse is your best friend.
Supporting the adrenals and sugar metabolism becomes essential when the body is fighting to remain calm or when sugar is not getting into the cell. The cleanse contains monk fruit, triphala, ashwagandha, rhodiola, ginger, turmeric, and green coffee that support the adrenals and sugar metabolism systems. Hello Energy and Metabolism!
As a bonus, the cleanse takes the work off the body to recuperate by providing digestive enzymes, probiotics, and prebiotic foods.
For this reason, SMART Pressed Juice makes an excellent first and last cleanse, and personally, the 7-day cleanse is my preferred method.
Clients feel lighter, energized, and feel the SMART Pressed Juice Cleanse is the perfect reset.
As a Naturopathic Physician, I see their hormones and body reset, setting them up for a better digestive system, decreasing peri-and-menopause symptoms like sleepless nights, weight gain, and energy.
Imagine being able to have consecutive well-rest nights, not feeling a slump mid day or bloated a week from now.
